Working within the Accounts team, the successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail skills, be highly organised and have experience in working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital as the post-holder will be required to work closely with clients, suppliers and colleagues across the Rettie group.

Key responsibilities
  • Process purchase ledger (supplier invoices and payments)
  • Process sales ledger invoices
  • Reconcile credit card and post journal entries each month
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Process month-end tasks - nominal ledger postings
  • General account duties including cost analysis reports and communicating with other departments as required as part of the financial planning process
Key requirements
Essential
  • Experienced in Sage and Excel
  • 2 years minimum experience in a similar office role
  • Fully IT literate & proficient in the use of MS Word and Outlook
  • Willingness to perform administrative tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication/numeracy/data analysing skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proven track record in delivering targets within a demanding environment
  • Self-motivated problem solver with strong interpersonal skills
Desirable
