About the role
The main aim of the Rural Asset Management Team is to ensure an exceptional standard of customer service is provided to all potential and actual customers. 

We're looking for a Rural Property Consultant to join our growing team, based out of either our Melrose or Berwick office. The successful candidate can expect to provide administrative support in relation to a variety of dynamic services and activities such as farm and estate management, energy and renewables, and agricultural projects. 

You'll have excellent communication and relationship-building skills both face to face, on the phone and via email and are experienced at developing customer relationships and identifying and understanding the needs of potential customers.
Key responsibilities
Delivering exceptional service
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding your personal targets and contributing proactively to the team's targets
  • Responsible for adhering to agreed systems and processes, specifically:
    • Building relationships with customers through regular phone contact
    • Promotion of services across the Rettie group to generate valuations for own/other teams
    • Be the first point of contact for all inbound enquiries (email, phone and in-person), qualifying customer requirements in detail and recording this information accurately in Reapit
    • Arrange viewings and valuations
    • Trained on sales database (Reapit) and proactively uses the relevant database functionality and reporting features
    • Recording accurate and detailed customer information to build a database of future potential sellers and buyers
    • Contributing content for the social media profile of the branch using relevant platforms
    • Generating positive customer reviews profile for the branch (Google Reviews etc.)
    • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data input by yourself into Reapit, therefore ensuring the accuracy of management accounts and management reporting
    • Takes a proactive approach to continuous personal development, actively seeking opportunities to develop skills and capabilities required for the role
Key requirements
Essential
  • Driving licence
  • Fully IT literate & proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong written & verbal communication/numeracy/data analysing skills
  • Strong negotiation, organisation and influencing skills
Desirable
  • Experience of Reapit or comparable system
  • Knowledge of the rural market
