About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity within a growing sector for an experienced Surveyor/Land Agent to join our team. The successful candidate can expect to work across a variety of dynamic services such as farm and estate management, energy and renewables projects, and agricultural valuation, planning and development opportunities such as:
  • Renewables - acting on behalf of landowners in relation to solar, wind and battery energy storage developments.
  • Liaising with landowners and agents on site and undertaking all aspects of rural consultancy, red book valuation and professional work.
  • Supporting the Associate Director with the existing and diverse portfolio of projects at various stages including managing the Estate Management portfolio.
  • Proactively generating new leads from a wide variety of sources to grow the value of the team's assets under management, and gain new business to grow the department's portfolio of clients. 
About you
The preferred candidate will have their MRICS qualification and ideally have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar environment such as rural land, farming, forestry or renewable energy. You will have a good working knowledge and understanding of rural Scotland and Scottish agriculture and have a proven track record of managing project performance on a commercial and/or residential level.

  • Driving Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstratable success in generating new business
  • Fully IT literate & proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong written & verbal communication/numeracy/data analysing skills
  • Strong negotiation, organisation & influencing skills
  • Proven track record in delivering targets within a demanding environment
  • Self-motivated problem solver with strong interpersonal skills
Desirable
